Back to back months with AMSA Ultrasound workshop guys, but this time.... were not doing back ultrasounds. No, we got something... special for you guys. This month we'll be going over specialty exams with the one and only Dr. Clint Hawthorne, associate Medical Director of the Unity Point Emergency Department. Because we're bringing an extra special VIP to teach us ultrasound this month, we'll be offering lots of free pizza to attend the noon lecture (no sign ups needed for the noon lecture). We'll be power teaming with your buddies in SOSA, SAR, and EM Club!

A wide range of topics will be reviewed, including central line placement with gel cannulations, ophthalmology exams, peripheral vascular assessment (DVT screen), and more!!! It'll be one heck of a time and helpful for your rotations, whatever specialty you choose.

Noon lecture and evening lab will occur Tuesday, October 30. Lab will take place 5-6pm and 6-7pm. Sign ups for lab will be on googledocs. Don't forget, there will be free food at lunch and an amazing hands on experience in the lab with Dr. Hawthorne!
