PURPOSE
 

Led by a panel of behavioral health experts, Behavioral Health ECHO helps participants learn best practices for treating common mental health conditions and connect with peers from around the state to discuss and learn best practices for identifying and treating behavioral health issues. The curriculum is delivered free through case-based learning strategies using videoconferencing technology.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

  • Describe the behavioral health provider's role in supporting continuity of care for individuals transitioning back into the community.
  • Identify key re-entry resources, including medication continuity, housing, Medicaid benefits, and peer support.
  • Apply re-entry support strategies to real-world scenarios involving common barriers individuals face after release.
  • Provide an overview of housing and recovery residence services. 
  • Discuss the role of peer support and recovery coaching in promoting successful community reentry.
