Each case of POTS is different. It is easily mistaken for other conditions and is difficult to diagnose. The majority of POTS patients are women ages 13-50 years old. About 1 to 3 million people suffer from this disorder in the United States. So, what is POTS and how can healthcare providers contribute to a solution for the millions of individuals currently suffering? This session will answer these questions and more, and shares the story of a patient who suffered for more than four years through visits with countless healthcare providers and medical specialties because a POTS diagnosis was always overlooked.
