PURPOSE
 

Led by a panel of behavioral health experts, Behavioral Health ECHO helps participants learn best practices for treating common mental health conditions and connect with peers from around the state to discuss and learn best practices for identifying and treating behavioral health issues. The curriculum is delivered free through case-based learning strategies using videoconferencing technology.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

  • Describe the role of the Iowa Primary Care Association in leading and supporting the development of Behavioral Health System Navigation across Iowa.
  • Explain how System Navigation improves access to behavioral health services through early intervention, care coordination, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Identify situations in which System Navigation may be appropriate and demonstrate strategies to connect individuals and professionals with navigators for timely, non-crisis behavioral health support.
