In this session, we will discuss in detail the administration of the pre-clinical curriculum at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. We will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of running concurrent longitudinal courses on foundational sciences, doctoring, and clinical skills. A deeper dive into the foundational sciences curriculum will reveal the process by which content is integrated across basic science and clinical disciplines using a variety of pedagogies. Finally, we will end with a spotlight on several unique pedagogies, including one example of a virtual telehealth interprofessional learning event. Participants will leave the session with several concrete ideas for administration of the pre-clinical curriculum, from foundational to health systems sciences.
