Join us at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex Community Room for a FREE performance nutrition talk — Fueling the Fire: The Science of Sports Nutrition.

A four-sport athlete as a youth, Ellen Davis, RD, CSSD, LD, chronically overtrained and underfueled as a college competitor. When she switched her major to dietetics, she found the missing piece of her training regimen: performance nutrition. Suddenly, her body composition changed and she recovered faster.

Today she works with developing athletes to fill the vital gaps many training regimens leave out: recovery, nutrition and injury prevention. Join us when Ellen will share her personal experiences as a Division I collegiate runner, her training and nutrition mistakes and ways she turned those mistakes into a career helping other athletes, coaches and parents learn how to properly “fuel the fire.”
