Hello DMU Community members,

DMU Community TOPPS (Teaching Osteopathic Practice & Principles to Students) events are where 1st and 2nd year DO students practice incorporating OMM into a medical encounter. Participants from the DMU community (faculty, staff and students from all programs at DMU) volunteer their time and bodies to receive an examination and the application of OMM techniques, all supervised by OCM faculty and the OMM Fellows.

All participants are expected to follow university health and safety guidelines. Volunteers are asked to wear shorts and a t-shirt during their exam.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Every volunteer participant will be screened by DO students, OMM fellows, and OMM physicians prior to receiving any hands-on osteopathic manipulation. If there are any symptoms or conditions that require further medical evaluation, the volunteers will be notified by the OMM physicians and will not receive manipulation.
