Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Workshop

PURPOSE

This workshop is designed to give the practicing emergency provider current information and hands-on training to improve image acquisition and interpretation of point of care ultrasound. Practicing emergency ultrasound experts will give presentations on each topic. This will be followed by small group breakout sessions where participants will scan live models. Each small group will have an expert facilitator to ensure individualized attention and teaching that fits each participant's needs and skill level.

The theme for this workshop is ultrasound for critical patients and will include the following topics and more!  

• Cardiac Ultrasound and Inferior Vena Cava
• Gallbladder Ultrasound
• Ultrasound "Grab Bag”
  • Ultrasound-guided line placements
  • Eye exams (e.g., retina and optic nerve)
